Putting the global situation into perspective helps determine the real challenges for tomorrow ... This article points to the direct and indirect effects which climate change will have on the global population, and more specifically agriculture. The effects will be varied, sometimes progressive and, sometimes brutal, and will affect different areas in the world in a very unequal way. Farmers in tropical countries will no doubt be the most harshly affected, as temperatures will spike in these areas, and unfortunately the international fight against global warming seems to have reached a deadlock.
